My New Year's Resolutions and The New Me πŸ’œ

In a recent post, I was able to reflect on things that happened to me on 2016,  and to be honest with you writing what I was grateful for on 2016 made me realized even more that I’m very lucky for the life I have.

Starting my blog on May 2016 has been one of my proudest moments, and the only regret I have it's not starting my blog sooner. Blogging opened a new world to me that I didn't know existed and since there is so much research involved, I learn new things every single day.

I know there are still more opportunities for me to become a better version of myself and I want to continue to learn new things about me.  I know New Year's Resolutions sometimes are not taking seriously because usually is something that by mid-February everyone has forgotten about and we go back to old habits but you Know me!!!... I’m a dreamer!!

Some people forget about them but some people follow through or these resolutions (goals) just get adjusted as the year is going by but what matters is, that we want to make positive changes in our lives.

My New Year's Resolution

  1. To be a better wife: to greet my husband when he wakes up in the morning with a beautiful smile in the same way he does to me me (you guys he is never, ever in a bad mood. I admire this of him)

  1. Improve my financial situation: I’m currently not working, if I didn't have credit cards debts and my personal loan to pay every month, we would be in a better financial situation today, so my goal is to get a job to make sure I get rid of these debts and just have the recurring debts and be able to save money more money.

  1. Take care of my Mind, Body, and Soul: I want to go up one more notch in taking of these three parts of me... Last year I feel I started this great path of self-discovering and started to take care of myself by doing some life audits, practicing mindfulness meditation, being more present, being more grateful, exercising more often, putting an effort to look better but this year I want to take it to a higher level.

  1. Do Something new at least once a month: either visit places that I’ve never been to before, eat something that I've never eaten before, try new recipe. I want to challenge myself :)

  1. Get rid of limiting beliefs: I've been reading a lot of self-help books, listening to podcasts, and Ted talks and there are many topics that are covered over and over again and through all these information I was introduced to something called NLP which is Neuro Linguistic programing. Through this, I have learned that I have many limiting beliefs that have been preventing me from having the life now I know I deserve, so this year I will word very hard to get rid of these limiting belief.

  1. Be more present in my family and friends lives: I want this year to call more often my parents, my siblings, and friends. I want to be more in their lives and build beautiful memories for the future.

I want to thank you for becoming my internet friend and I hope to interact with you more, either by supporting you in a project that you might be working on, reading your posts or hopefully meet you someday somehow...Thank you for spending time reading my posts!

This has been an amazing journey so far. One that I'm so happy to have started and I hope to grow my reader audience, improve my writting skills and post content that can be valuable to you.

2017 will be our best year ever...I know it will 😘

With all my Love,
NeishaπŸ’œπŸ’œ

  2. I love these goals! They're then most important things people should imrpove but they are also attainable so we don't end up beating ourselves up or not be capable of achieving them haha

  4. These are some great goals to have. I agree, having a blog only has me wishing I would have started sooner to connect with people like you! I might have to steal #4,5,6 because I totally can relate, especially #6 since I live in Italy and my family in the States so it's a bit hard but this year will hopefully be better at that :)

    1. Hi Estrella!! I'm so happy that you can relate ;) thanks for stopping by my blog! I have family living the different countries as well and is hard to stay in touch with your love ones but I'm making an effort to be more in their lives at least by calling them more often.
