Showing Gratitude with Thank You Cards

My husband and I got married about 5 years ago. It was a small civil wedding but it was lovely. Lately, we have been thinking that we would love to get married again or at least do a beautiful reception for our friends and family.

Since we are hoping to do this next year, I’m already looking for my fave part of this which is … stationery!  I love greeting cards, birthday cards, postcards and most of all I LOVE thank you cards.☺

I believe sending thank you cards  is the most thoughtful and most special way to show appreciation for a beautiful gesture that someone  did for you.

I wasn’t born from a rich family, but I do love etiquette.  Although it sounds fancy and for some people boring; etiquette is simply a guide to good manners and how to behave at an event or in a particular scenario.

After an important event such as a wedding, there is no better way — than to send Than You Cards—to show your gratitude to the family and friends who experienced that beautiful moment with you and who may have given you gifts.

Choosing a thank you card should be fun and easy. Thank best place to find great Thank You Cards and to have fun while doing it is at Basic Invite.

It always takes me ages to find the perfect card, whatever the occasion. The right picture with the most appropriate words for the person you’re sending it to. I must admit that I prefer cards without a pre-written message so that I can write my ow n.

I love to write my own messages too… I actually don’t like when I get cards that only says ” with love, from x person”. I think is just beautiful when someone takes their time to write something thoughtful. so Im right with you on this 🙂

I’ve always been a huge fan of thank you notes. Hand-written thank you notes. Even when email became easily accessible there’s still nothing quite like sending and receiving notes that someone took the time to sit down and write.

I love sending thank you cards! When I got married, every time a got a wedding gift I would go ahead & write the thank you note & put it in the mail. That way I was being very quick to get them out but I also wasn’t overwhelmed with writing 100 thank you cards as a time. I was doing 2 or 3 a day and wasn’t nearly as overwhelmed. And I love getting thank you cards from people in the mail. Loved your post!

Thanks Adrienne… I so happy you liked this post. I think you did an amazing job by doing 2 or 3 thank you cards per day. I think a many of us would wait to send them all together and then get all overwhelmed by the work…lol I can tell that you are a very organized person

Yes. Thank you cards are a very nice gesture of appreciation. I use them yearly for employees around Christmas time. I express my thank you for his and the family contribution to help us achieve our company goals. They are a nice gesture as it adds a bit of personal touch to the whole business environment. 🙂👍🏾

My mother makes it a point to teach me proper etiquette. Two of the main things are: never showing up to a party, function, or someone’s house empty-handed (there are very few exceptions) and always write thank-you notes (handwritten and personalized is most times preferred). It is just the proper thing to do, and it disappoints me when people believe they cannot take the time to write something as simple as a thank-you note. I will have to check out Basic Invite.
